Responsibilities:

  • Management of payroll process and benefits on a weekly basis.
  • Interpret and explain policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations.
  • Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of subordinates and staff relating to employment, compensation, labor relations, and employee relations.
  • Manage preparing and maintaining employment records related to events, such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions.
  • Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems.
  • Advise managers on organizational policy matters, such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment, and recommend needed changes.
  • Perform difficult staffing duties, including dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes, firing employees, and administering disciplinary procedures.
  • Represent organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
  • Benefits administration including planning, designing, communicating, processing, ensuring compliance, paying, evaluating, and improving.
  • Oversee staff development to improve skills, knowledge, and attitudes of employees.
  • Oversee plant subsidiaries HR team.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws, such as the American with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Qualifications:

  • Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral)
  • Patience and ability to manage stress
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with minimal direction in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented
